MITUTOYO TAGLENS

Eliminate the biggest limitation of conventional lenses with ultra-deep-focus

The Flexibility of the TAGLENS

The TAGLENS operates at ultra-high-speed and doesn't focus at just a single focal length but at a wide range of focal lengths. This means that everything, even subjects at different distances, remains in crystal clear focus.

Thanks to the technology of the TAGLENS, an astonishing world awaits, full of wonders no one has yet to see. In addition to immediately available applications for the production line, such as circuit board inspection, this lens offers innovative visual sensing in a range of fields. This includes factory automation, logistics, new material development, biosciences and medicine, environmental initiatives, and security.

Improve Inspection Efficiency Using the TAGLENS With Its ULTRA-Wide Focus Range

Flaw Inspection

One of the best uses of a TAGLENS is for PCB flaw inspection. For example, using a TAGLENS for inspection allows multiple subjects with different heights to be focused correctly, thus requiring only a single image capture, reducing inspection time significantly.

Appearance Inspection of Containers

Conventionally, focusing on points with different heights always required altering the height of the camera. The TAGLENS however focuses on each point instantly and precisely without adjustments, bringing efficiency to inspection work.

Observing Fluid Composition

By installing a TAGLENS on a microscope, suspended solids at different distances from the objective lens and moving microorganisms can be observed comprehensibly.

Bar Code Reading Inspection

Thanks to the deep focus range, the camera does not need to move to focus on the bar code of the targets on a conveyor belt – even if the height or direction of each target face is different.

Mitutoyo TAGLENS Features

  • Real-time all-in-focus images are obtained by scanning the focal length range at high speed. A TAGLENS requires absolutely no mechanical power when scanning, and is characterized by its ability to provide images across all focal lengths without stress, and at the desired magnification and resolving power
  • The TAGLENS does not require mechanical autofocus, reducing the time consumed for auto-focusing, and contributing to the improvement of the data processing speed of the inspection device.
